A look into how we engineered two synchronized 50T Goliath Cranes to safely handle delicate, oversized precast segments for a major metro infrastructure project.
The Challenge
A major infrastructure contractor required a solution to lift and transport 90-ton precast concrete U-girders for a new metro rail project. These segments are incredibly long and susceptible to cracking if lifted unevenly.
Our Engineered Solution
We designed, manufactured, and installed two 50 Ton Goliath Cranes (Gantry Cranes) equipped with an advanced anti-collision and tandem operation control system.
Through a centralized radio remote system, a single operator can control both cranes simultaneously. The VFD drives communicate in real-time, ensuring millimeter-perfect synchronization during lifting and traveling. If one hoist slows down, the other automatically matches its speed, keeping the 90-ton precast segment perfectly level at all times.
The Result
The system was installed and commissioned ahead of schedule. The contractor has successfully handled hundreds of segments without a single safety incident or damaged girder, significantly accelerating the metro project timeline.
